Answers, in one place.

How does Slabbies identify a card?

Slabbies uses the card image and catalog context to match the likely card, set, number, language, and finish. Confirm the result in the app before relying on condition or market information.

How should I use a photo-based condition estimate?

Treat it as decision support. Clear, evenly lit photos can help Slabbies organize visible centering, corner, edge, and surface evidence, but sleeves, glare, focus, and hidden defects can change what the camera captures.

Is a Slabbies estimate an official grade?

No. Slabbies provides an AI-assisted estimate based on the photos and card context you provide. Only the grading company can assign an official grade after physically inspecting the card.

Where does the market context come from?

Slabbies keeps the provider, update time, exact printing, finish, and available comparable sales attached to each market result. Coverage and freshness vary, so values are informational estimates—not guaranteed sale prices or appraisals.

Does changing the card finish change the value data?

Yes. Normal, holofoil, reverse holofoil, language, set, and card number are kept in the pricing identity so Slabbies does not intentionally merge different variants into one chart.

How fresh is the price information?

Check the provider and update time attached to the result. Market coverage and refresh times vary by exact printing, finish and grading company. Missing or older data remains a limitation, not a current sale promise.

What happens to my card photos?

Images are processed to provide identification and grading-related features as described in the Slabbies Privacy Policy. Review that policy for the current details on processing, providers, retention, and your choices.

Why might Slabbies ask me to retake a photo?

A retake protects the estimate when the card outline, focus, lighting, or required region is not clear enough to assess. Unseen evidence should remain unknown rather than receive a generous default.

Which cards can Slabbies support?

Slabbies is built for Pokémon TCG cards represented in its supported catalogs. Coverage can vary by set, language, printing, and finish, and the app shows the match it can verify rather than inventing an unsupported identity.

What stays in a saved collection record?

The exact printing, scan images, condition evidence, saved estimates, notes and valuation context stay attached to the card. Cards provides a searchable overview; Binder, Slab Vault and Present give different parts of your collection their own purpose.
